In the measurement and testing process, sometimes we will need to collect CAN signals of different devices simultaneously. IPEmotion's CAN acquisition function can provide a perfect solution. The detailed steps for using IPEmotion will be described in detail below.
When using the CAN acquisition function, it is necessary that the measuring device can send out CAN messages and a DBC file corresponding to the CAN messages is required.
1. The hardware is properly connected. Equipment CAN -----〉 CAN card CAN1 ------〉 computer
2. Open the IPEmotion software.
3. Plug-in select "CAN Acquisition (Chinese version is CAN acquisition)"
4. Click "Detect (Chinese version is detection)" to detect the CAN card connected to the computer.
5. Select CAN-1 and change the baud rate to the same value as the device in the CAN tab in the configuration area at the lower right.
6. Right-click CAN-1 ---> Components (Chinese version is components) ----> Traffic. This step is to display CAN messages online and facilitate monitoring whether CAN messages are received.
7. Right-click CAN-1 ---> Import (Chinese version is imported) -----> CANdb ---> Select DBC file ---> Check the signal to be displayed and view ----> Click OK .
8. In Acquisition (Chinese version is acquisition), set the storage group, select the signal to be saved, and record the data in the computer. (This step requires a license. If you do not perform this step, only the data will be displayed online and not saved.)
