Reifenhaüser introduces highly space-saving compound coextrusion equipment

Following the exhibition of a three-layer co-extruded composite film system equipped with a gearless extruder at K2004, Reifenhaüser recently introduced a rheology-optimized HDS (horizontal dispensing system) multi-layer co-extrusion die dispensing system to ensure that only A short switching time is needed to meet the needs of different composite film barrier structures and to meet the needs of a wider processing range. Due to its compact design, the entire unit is only 1400mm high.

The company also introduced a 7-layer coextruded cast film line MIDEX 7-2500. This line consists of 3 AC-driven RT extruders and 4 REItorque gearless extruders and is equipped with Reifenhaüser's newly developed REIcofeed co-extrusion adjustment module. All the raw materials commonly used for film production can be processed using this technology and can produce up to 7 layers of composite film. Thanks to the use of a gearless extruder, the space required for installation of the production line is significantly reduced and significant energy savings can be achieved. Another feature of this system is the REIcofeed II coextrusion adjustment module. Instead of adjusting only the outer film, it is used for the individual adjustment of the melt of each layer of the film. All adjustments can be made directly in the production process and ensure that the dimensional deviation of each layer is minimal.
