U.S. military designates Konarka to develop renewable energy sources

Massachusetts, August 4th news, Konarka company announced recently that the US military has begun funding the company to develop optoelectronics technology to provide the US military with lighter, more flexible, scalable and renewable energy, so that the US military can use it for multiple purposes in the future.
Konarka uses nanotechnology and conductive polymers to create renewable energy sources. The company's technology can convert sunlight and indoor artificial light into DC power. With this unique, proprietary cryogenic technology, photovoltaic cells can be placed on soft, lightweight plastic.
The inconvenience caused by the rechargeable batteries used by the US military today is that the batteries and charging aids are too heavy to facilitate marching. The company uses a unique cold sintering technology to connect photovoltaic cells to plastic and become a power source. Cold sintering technology refers to the treatment of substances at relatively low temperatures. Konarka's technology ensures that the production of photovoltaic cells does not need to be exposed to the damaging high temperatures of industrial production lines.
The military cooperation unit of Konarka is the US Army Natick Soldiers Center in Ma. The core mission of the center is to use the individual soldier as a system to study its survivability, mobility, fighting ability, and quality of life, and optimize it.
