Comparison of aerosol cans at home and abroad (abstract)

Since the aerosol cans used in trial production of aerosols and other products in Shanghai in the 1960s, after nearly 45 years of development, China has become a major producer of aerosol cans, and its output has ranked among the top four in the world. In the forefront, you should not compare with foreign counterparts. The answer to the gap is positive.

I am not a person in the canning industry. I now compare some of the 10 aspects related to aerosol cans from the perspective of a bystander. As an outsider, I don’t know much about this, and I don’t know much about it. I have to make mistakes, please add, correct, and criticize.

1 Production

The production of aerosol cans in China and the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Argentina, and Japan in 2006 is shown in Table 1.

China's per capita aerosol cans are about 1/180 of the United States.

2 use

The use of aerosol cans in China, the United States, Britain, Germany, Argentina, and Japan is shown in Table 2.

It can be seen from the table that China's aerosol cans are mainly used for insecticides, car care products and paint aerosols, car care products and paint aerosols, while in other countries personal care products (deodorant, hair spray / hair spray / motorcycle) Silk, shaving foam/gel) and household aerosols. From the comparison, it is found that the variety of aerosols in China is relatively simple, and the surface to be adapted for aerosol cans is narrow.

3 specifications

From the pressure resistance of aerosol cans, the minimum deformation pressure of aerosol cans in China is 12 bar, while the minimum deformation pressure of European aerosol cans is 12 bar, 15 bar, 18 bar and ultra-high pressure tanks. The regulations are: ordinary tanks, 2P tanks, 2Q tanks and high pressure tanks. Judging from the pressure resistance of the tank, China's aerosol cans are relatively single and difficult to adapt to the needs of different products. From one side, there are safety hazards.

4 can type

The aerosol cans produced in China are mainly concentrated in single-piece cans (aluminum cans) and three-piece cans (tank cans).

In addition, there is also a tank with an overpressure self-pressure relief device. In the United States, it is used in ultra high pressure tanks. When the pressure inside the tank exceeds a predetermined value, the predetermined weak point at the bottom of the tank will crack and relieve the pressure. This prevents an explosion from occurring when the pressure inside the tank is too high.

5 cans

The aerosol cans produced in China are almost all cylindrical standard cans. The shaped cans are small in shape and have a very small output.

The shape and output of various shaped cans in foreign countries are increasing, and it has become an important means for the promotion of some aerosol products. It includes rolling cans, expansion tanks, embossed cans, and composite shaped cans that combine the characteristics of rolling, embossing and expansion. (photo)

The quality standard of the shaped can is the same as that of the ordinary can, and the price is about 10%-15%.

6 printing

Most of China's aerosol cans use traditional printing methods. In recent years, "wide color gamut and high-fidelity printing technology" has been introduced in Hangzhou COFCO, and it still needs to be promoted. Foreign countries have taken the printing of cans together with the alienation of cans as an important means of attracting customers' eyes. Both the visual effect of printing and the haptic effect are emphasized. For example, some aerosol cans in Japan are delicate, like children's smooth and delicate skin; some cans have a raised pattern after printing; French Impress uses wrinkle paint on the aerosol can, giving people a sense of novelty. In addition, there is an increasing trend in the use of plastic labels. Plastic labels are not only used for neck-reducing three-piece cans, but also for aluminum cans. In the United States, plastic labels use about 10% of aerosol cans.

7 production

The production lines of the backbone enterprises producing aerosol cans in China are mostly imported from Europe. The production speed is faster, the degree of automation is higher, and the equipment adjustment time is shorter when the specifications are changed.

The latest production lines in foreign countries are faster and more automated. For example, the US DSC K Division produces tin-coated iron two-piece aerosol cans, two production lines of 1200 cans per minute, and the main technical parameters of the products are 100% online. Such a company has a total of 35 people. They produce tanks that look and behave like aluminum aerosol cans, but at a similar price to tinplate aerosol cans.

8 cans

Although China has imported several production lines that can produce lighter aerosol cans, it still produces traditional aerosol cans.

Reducing the weight of cans is an important goal abroad. For example, equipment factories represented by Germany and Switzerland reduce the weight of tinplate three-piece cans by adding processes, changing mold design, and using materials of different hardness. Lanico and Styner-Beinz equipment can reduce tank weight by about 10%-15%. With the United States as the representative in the development of lightweight tanks, by changing the process, the tank weight is reduced by about 35%. Of course, reducing the weight of the can is achieved without affecting the quality of the can.

9 material

The aerosol cans produced in China are still made of traditional aluminum and tinplate. The material of foreign aerosol cans has also undergone a quiet change, and composite cans have begun to be put into production. For example, the United States and Japan use a laminating iron, including an aerosol canister based on a Wuxi complex iron can. Boxal, France, manufactures an aerosol canister made up of a tin can top and an aluminum can. (photo)

10 recycling

The recycling of waste aerosol cans in China is completed by the mobile personnel of the waste, and no one knows the specific recovery rate.

The graph yield of iron for packaging in Europe has increased year by year.

Japan has done a lot of investigation and experimental work on the safe recycling of waste aerosol cans, and relevant laws are in the pipeline.
