It is reported that the device using this material 3D printing can be adjusted in shape on the patient to adapt to changes in the patient's body.

It is understood that the material is a thermoplastic material that exhibits a solid state in a temperature environment corresponding to human body temperature, and has a good plasticity in an environment where the temperature reaches 55°C. The material was originally designed to serve as an alternative to the plaster armguard, but in the end it was used as a lining to assist in the treatment of patients with cerebral palsy, splints or deformable lower extremity prostheses in patients with hip dysplasia.

Since the use of this material will allow organizations to save money on the purchase of splints and similar products, this material has attracted the attention of the UK National Health Service. Torc2 became the first small and medium-sized company to invest in the Coventry Commission under the Coventry and Warwick County Innovation Projects.

It is reported that Torc2 has applied for intellectual property rights for the material, and the British hospital is also expected to use the hospital's own Torc product system to produce deformable medical equipment.
