Pre-printing necessary before inspection

When you prepare electronic materials for prepress service providers or printers, be sure to check the following to determine that all issues that may be met to ensure the successful export of your electronic documents have been fully considered.

What is prepress inspection?
Preflighting is a term borrowed from the captain's inspection program before the plane took off. It means that the electronic files after the prepress inspection will surely be converted into graphic output correctly and output to the film. The working steps that can make RIP work effectively. It is also a step in finding problems before taking up prepress operators, materials, and equipment. There is no need to spend money and time to make six films or six plates when only four films or four plates are needed. Prepress inspection is a complete analysis of a digital print job that has been designed, regardless of the output device used. It is necessary to find any incomplete or lost electronic documents and characters, incorrect or misregistration of electronic documents, or lack of bleeding, incorrect page numbers, improper color separation, or potential binding problems or image inconsistencies before the print output. step. Only the character error, which is the most troublesome problem, is enough to prove that the prepress inspection is necessary. Prepress inspections include many aspects. Here are the most common issues that prepress operators may encounter:

Who should be responsible for India Prepress?
Is a prepress check done by a prepress service provider/printer or customer? The still-arguing issue involves who will pay for the inspection. Taking into account the final interests of prepress service providers, they should establish their own pre-press inspection process and fee payment standards. On the other hand, prepress service providers also have reasons to expect electronic document drafters (1) to provide complete documents that can be run within a reasonable RIP time (2) to provide the necessary information to be able to operate the document effectively (3) The methods and ways to quickly communicate when problems arise.

However, not all drafters of electronic documents know how to fully establish a print job that can achieve an effective output standard, and also consider printing requirements. At the same time, they do not know the characteristics of the final file output device. Similarly, although designers may have a good understanding of design principles such as balance, color, consistency, margin, and proportion, they may not necessarily be familiar with technical issues such as overprinting. Therefore, pre-press inspections should normally be handled by professionals.

It is necessary to establish communication channels between customers who wish to easily export electronic documents and printers who wish to have complete and correct electronic documents. This is especially true when it comes to the time and money spent on the proper output of India. Who is responsible for file correction? Who will pay for the inspection? Since formal preflight inspections take a lot of time, in some cases, customers may be willing to pay for such services.

However, the preflight check should not begin until the customer has delivered the disk. Some prepress inspections should start from the customer's establishment of electronic documents. As part of the preflight inspection results, the customer should provide a proofing proof with the printed electronic document. At the very least, a reminder sheet should accompany the electronic document, reminding the prepress reviewer of the entire page layout. Documents related to character information and other related documents.

In what media is your document passed on?
â–¡ Electronic transfer â–¡ Floppy disk â–¡ Tape â–¡ Portable hard disk â–¡ Magnetic disk â–¡ CD-ROMs â–¡ DVD (digital video disk)

It should be determined that the file format you are transferring is compatible with the computer system, and the actual design, color correction, page numbering and output can be accomplished in the computer system. Make sure your disk is protected and only the files needed to deliver the file output.

Do not use the only copy of your file for delivery, because readable and writable media (such as optical, tape, ZIP, JAZ) are prone to unpredictable errors, so it is best to format the media before copying the file. Then copy the disk, and then pass it to the prepress service provider.

Is the page number setting appropriate?
Make sure the output device is set correctly. These include page size, typesetting, margins, bleeding requirements, overprints, and more. Certainly a folding method allows folding of pages of different sizes, and the folded pages are always progressively smaller.

Is all the necessary output files provided?
Load your electronic file in the file format requested by the prepress service provider or printer. If the prepress service provider or printer has requested that your documents be delivered in a file format that they can accept, you should not pass files in formats such as EPS. For restrictions on various file formats and some tips for application, see "File Formats" in the Technical Appendix.

If you are preparing an electronic document, you should confirm that you have saved all images and printed documents in a file format that can be used by prepress service providers or printers, and provide their original copies and edited copies. This may still be found on a computer monitor when an image or printed document is lost, but it will be output at a low resolution, which may appear somewhat distorted or distorted. The printed document should also be placed in the same subdirectory as the application document, so that it is established that all the printed images in the page layout document have been established.

The use of error-prone file formats such as PICT and WMF should be avoided in the output. Otherwise, even if the file is correct, there may still be problems with converting the format.

For those files that have been in FPO or OPI/APR format, if the DCS printing format is used, all five images (yellow, blue, black, and composite color images) should be provided.

In preflight inspection or prepress service provider's requirements, it should be indicated which low resolution images need to be replaced with high resolution versions.

Is the original source of the image provided?
If the prepress service provider or printer has requested this, they should use their acceptable file format to provide proofs or proofs.

Has the character used in the print job been marked?
The name, version, quantity, and font of all characters should be indicated (True Type or Post script). Make sure that you select the actual character from the character menu (such as Garamond Bold) instead of selecting one from the Style menu as "Bold" "Style like that. At the same time, you should consult prepress service providers or printers about the requirements for character files. In some RIPs, mutual interference between True Type and Type 1 Post script characters causes character substitution and string bits.

Do prepress service providers or printers provide image scans?
For all images that require pre-press service providers or printers to scan, information on cutting and final dimensions should be clearly marked.

Have you converted all colors from red, green, and blue to yellow, black and green?
If you don't convert your image to yellow, green, or black in your electronic file, the printed image may be a black and white image or there is an unacceptable color cast. Keep in mind that all colors are named in the file, and the color of the image that is designed and introduced in the image processing program should also ensure that the exact same name is used.

Unless you plan to print small patches or common colors with spot-color inks, you should definitely use the yellow-black setting mode for all colors. As long as the entire page layout program allows, the small color area should also change the color mode.

Can I print bleeding when I need it?
It should be certain that all bleeding prints are extended to the edge of the page as required by the printer. It is very convenient to achieve image bleeding in the whole page layout program, but it is relatively time-consuming and expensive when printing.

Have you considered the original proofing of the document?
A black and white laser print or color proof of the final document should be delivered. If the document is to be passed to the printing service through a telephone line and a modem, it should be sure to fax the laser print proof or transmit the proof proof. Make sure the proofs are obtained from the same electronic file passed to the print service provider or printer.

If the page is too large to print the same original size as the actual size, be sure to mark the reduction ratio on the sample.

Color prints should be printed on the laser printer with color separation proofs (in black and white). In addition to providing color proofs to printers, color separation proofs should also be provided, and each color separation proof must be properly color coded. And check the color separation sample separation is correct and color separation color number.

If black and white composite proofs are provided, the parts printed in different colors should be clearly marked.

Have all the notes been noted?
The name, address, and contact telephone number should be clearly stated on diskettes, portable media, printed proofs, and proofs. In short, all documents or media passed to print service providers or printers should be clearly marked.
At the same time, you should send a print service provider or printer a list of all the documents or media you have delivered.

Ten major issues in preflight/output, character errors, or missing

2, image color problem

3, binding problems

4, the file is incomplete or unable to work

5, the size of the EPS, TIFF file in the entire page layout program is large

6, small color area is not converted to the correct color mode

7, the file format (may cause output confusion)

8, TIFF file does not switch from red, green, and blue patterns to yellow, blue and green

9, lack of bleeding

10. The original used storage medium was not formatted.

Status Indicator ESD Tester

In the ESD Access Control, the Anti-static status indicator ESD tester is an important device to check from the source. status indicator ESD test host can detect whether the anti-static measures or equipment of each worker who enters the anti-static area is in place and qualified. That is to say, before the worker enters the work area, the RFID card access control system is used to confirm whether the worker can enter the work area, so as to avoid entering with a large amount of static electricity, which may cause product loss.
