Guangxi Binyang CPPCC members inspect paper energy-saving and emission reduction work

In order to better play the role of the CPPCC in participating in state affairs, on August 20th, some members of the CPPCC of Binyang County organized inspections on the energy-saving and emission-reduction work of the paper-producing companies. Vice-Chairman of the County CPPCC Yang Lan attended the event.

The paper industry is a traditional industry in Binyang County. There are mainly two kinds of mechanical papermaking and earth-based papermaking. Products include toilet paper, red gun paper, and wrapping paper. Since last year, Binyang County has intensified efforts to guide and rectify and closed 72 papermaking enterprises that do not meet the production conditions.

At present, there are 30 paper-making enterprises in the county that have been approved for trial production by Nanning City. Among them, there are four paper-making enterprises with a production capacity of over 10,000 tons/year. It is predicted that the overall capacity of papermaking companies after rectification will increase by 46%. The inspection team has inspected the paper making enterprises of the county Tenglong Paper Co., Ltd., Jiangnan Paper Co., Ltd., and Anli Paper Co., Ltd. to learn more about the energy conservation and emission reduction of the company.

The inspection team stated that the work of energy saving and emission reduction is a major event that “the power is in the present and benefits the children and grandchildren.” In recent years, Binyang County’s understanding of energy conservation and emission reduction work has been deepened, work has been carried out from imaginary to actual, and the results are gradually emerging. It is suggested that the county government and the competent authorities increase the propaganda of relevant laws and regulations on energy conservation and emission reduction, learn from the experiences of other places, and combine with the reality of Binyang to establish and improve the energy conservation and emission reduction agencies and mechanisms as soon as possible so that this work can be truly implemented in all aspects of society.
