Education and packaging

People rely on clothes and things depend on packaging. Just as clothing is good for people, “packaging” has been widely regarded as a symbol of product image, value, style and taste in today’s highly developed market economy. It is based on this kind of psychological identity that the packaging industry has become the "sunrise industry" in China's national economy. In 2000, in the 38 major industries of the national economy, packaging has risen to the 14th place, and the total output value of the packaging industry has maintained a rapid growth of 24% for 20 years. However, through this kind of prosperity, we cannot say two major problems in the development of the packaging industry. First, China's packaging industry started late, the foundation is weak, the speed of packaging improvement is not fast, and it is difficult to solve the deep-seated problems that affect the development of the packaging industry. The annual direct economic loss caused by poor packaging in China is as high as 14 billion yuan. It is even more difficult to estimate the indirect losses caused by the loss of various opportunities in the international market because of weak competitiveness. Second, there is a serious shortage of packaging professionals. In 2001, of the more than 18,000 packaging companies in China, nearly 4 million employees were employed. The secondary school or higher level accounted for only 2.36%, which was significantly lower than the national average of 6.8%. To solve the technical and talent problems that affect the development potential of the packaging industry, I think the most fundamental way is to develop a packaging education, especially packaged higher education, and build a strong support system for the industry.
The strong support of packaging education for the industry is mainly reflected in three aspects: First, the support of professionals. In order to maintain rapid development, the packaging industry must remain invincible under the WTO's background. The first key is the "talent" of the lifeline of packaging. Where does the "talent" come from? That is, we must vigorously develop packaging education, build schools that foster professional talents, improve the packaging profession and disciplines, build a packaging talents cultivation system, and build professional personnel training grounds, transportation channels, and reserve warehouses. Since 1952, the United States has set up a packaging school at Michigan State University and in the following 50 years, it has devoted itself to developing packaging education, making the packaging industry the third largest pillar industry in the country.
In 2000, our school and Zhongshan Zhangjiabian Enterprise Group jointly founded Zhongshan Packaging College. Foreign foreign investment is exactly such a talent cultivation base, so they have settled in Zhangjiabian. The second is the support of the quality of the entire staff. The potential crisis in the packaging industry cannot be solved. In the final analysis, whether the quality of the entire staff can be promoted as a whole. Germany currently has more than 10 packaging institutions. While nurturing packaging “regular forces”, it is also pushing for packaging technology education; Packaging education also attaches great importance to it. More than 70% of the packaging industry employees receive packaging technicians, packaging technicians, bale packers, packaging managers, and packaging professionals. It can be said that the more developed the packaging education, the more channels, channels, and opportunities for the improvement of the overall quality of industry personnel, and the development momentum is sufficient.
From the current situation in our country, we should vigorously bring into play the role of Zhuzhou Institute of Technology, the only institution of higher learning engaged in packaging education in the country, and vigorously use the role of the China Packaging Technology Training Center to systematically train and improve packaging practitioners. The third is the support of technological innovation. Science and technology are primary productive forces. Another important function of packaging education is to provide talents with great technical support for the development of the industry. On the one hand, it uses the teachers, academics, and scientific research teams engaged in packaging education to provide science and technology, achievements, and talent support for the packaging industry, research and solve various problems in the development of the packaging industry, and on the other hand accelerate the technological innovation of the industry through the combination of production, study and research. Capacity, product development capabilities, market competitiveness, and the construction of academic teams and research directions in the industry have truly promoted the implementation of the strategy of “invigorating the country through science and education”.
In short, we have achieved a virtuous circle of “to promote talent cultivation through packaging education, promote technological innovation through talent training, and enhance the potential for development through technological innovation”. Only when the packaging industry can grow bigger and stronger can we truly achieve the “sunrise and sun shine.” ".
