British developed a water-based paint

After the British developed a kind of water-based paint that was painted on the building wall to make the wall easy to clean "graffiti" and to protect the walls clean. It can effectively protect walls made of bluestone, marble or other natural materials.

The paint consists of a mixed aqueous solution of natural waxes, polyacrylates and surfactants, and contains dry film preservatives and bactericides. Its water vapour diffusivity is low, so that its attached building can still "breathe".
